Harmony My name is Harmony and I am one of the proud owners of Dance & Cheer Stars located in Manteca, CA. My husband and I are proud to announce our 9th Year Anniversary! These past 9 years have been a lot of fun and a huge growing period at our studio! Dance & Cheer Stars offers a variety of classes to all ages and abilities. We have a little something for everyone! Even a batting cage for the ones that play baseball and softball! Dance & Cheer Stars is a major competitor in the competition level of dance and is known as having the Central Valley's Elite Competition Team. Our Dance Team has been all over California, Nevada, danced half-time at the Stockton Lightening and California Cougar Games, performed pre-game twice for the Sacramento Kings, July 2006 we got the opportunity to dance on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship that sailed to Mexico, flew across the country to compete in South Carolina. This past July we went to New York! The dancers were able to take class at 'STEPS', "BROADWAY DANCE CENTER', and a master class session with the World-Famous Rockettes, see two Broadway shows "LION KING' and 'WICKED', got a guided city highlights tour, and then ended our week long trip with a formal farewell dinner and dance cruise. We are also excited to start our 6th year of competitive cheer! Our Cheer Teams have competed throughout California and Hawaii bringing home numerous awards! As for me, I put on my first pair of tap shoes at the age of three and have been dancing ever since. I minored in dance at San Joaquin Delta College and California State University, Hayward. I am trained in Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Jazz, Cheer, Tumbling, Modern and Lyrical. I have taught dance for the past twelve years and love every second of it. I can not even think of doing anything else. I danced in the Russian Ballet Company's Nutcracker for two years. Walked Runway for Ed Hardy. Was a part of the Oakland Raiderettes for two seasons. I have to say that cheering for the Oakland Raiders and being on the field has been a dream come true! One of my most amazing dance jobs has been going to Yokosuka, Japan and performing for our troops in 2006! I also became Dance Director and Choreographer for two years with the California Cougar Dance Team. My goal is to get any/all of my dancers in the industry if that is the path they chose to take. Currently I have one student that danced for NBA, four with the NFL, one with Disney in France, one away at a performing arts college in Hollywood, and one that made it to Vegas for the television show, 'So You Think You Can Dance'! Having my dancers follow their dreams makes me a proud dance mom=) I am so blessed to start another year at Dance & Cheer Stars. Welcome back new and returning students, we have an exciting year ahead of us! I am so excited to make a "Star" out of each and every student!
